Signing off technical drawings: what you are approving and why it matters
28 March 2026 · Process
Clients are not expected to read every dimension, but they should recognise their layout, appliance positions, and door splits. Questions at this stage cost almost nothing compared with changes after CNC programmes are released.
What we highlight in review
Critical heights, worktop support, socket zones inside cupboards, and any item that depends on site-built work. Once approved, those sheets are what the fitters and fabricators work from.
Revisions after sign-off
Changes are always possible but rarely free. We quote time and material impact clearly, whether that is new CNC files, reordered glass, or a stone re-template, so you can decide with numbers, not guesswork.
Minor field adjustments for out-of-plumb walls are normal; wholesale redesign mid-manufacture is not. The drawing pack includes tolerance notes where experienced fitters are expected to scribe within agreed limits.
What you keep
Clients receive PDF sets for their records and, where useful, simplified plans for estate agents or future architects. That transparency is part of trusting the work long after we have left site.
